Veteran players of the Final Fantasy series of MMORPGs will get another chance to relive the glory days of their adventures through Vana’diel. Or if you’re not a veteran player, then you can at least unlock a nice set of cosmetic equipment. Yes, it’s the return of the Final Fantasy XIV collab event in celebration of the 15th anniversary of Final Fantasy XI.
For those who perhaps missed out on the last event that commemorated Final Fantasy XI, this one will reportedly be exactly the same as last time. The event involves Iroha, the cover character and main heroine of the final chapter for Final Fantasy XI’s story Rhapsodies of Vana’diel. As before, the rewards for completing the seasonal event will also be the same: a complete set of Amatsu equipment fashioned in the same style as Iroha’s gear.
The Maiden’s Rhapsody runs between Friday, November 10th and Wednesday, November 29th. Players can speak with an NPC in Limsa Lominsa’s Upper Decks to get started on the quest line. Full information can be found here.
While we would certainly like to see a more unique event for such a momentous occasion as a fifteen year anniversary, we also probably can’t really whine too loudly about getting free stuff. Especially if players perhaps missed out on the event and subsequent rewards the last time.
