Pearl Abyss Announce Two New MMORPGs

Pearl Abyss has announced two new MMORPGs and an MMO shooter which will be on display for the world during their G-Star 2019 presentation. You’ll be able to watch it live on Twitch and Youtube if you can’t go to South Korea to see it in person.

Here’s what we know about each game so far.

Crimson Desert

An open-world MMORPG set in an epic fantasy world. Three tribes fight for control of the Pywell continent. Jason Jung from RYL Online is working on the game along with Dae-il Kim, the founder of Pearl Abyss, and Eter Lee, from RYL Online and C9.

DokeV

A collectible MMORPG for all ages. Being worked on by Sang-young Kim and Suh Won Choi, both formerly on the Black Desert Online development team.

Plan 8

An exosuit MMO shooter. It’s the first shooter from Pearl Abyss. Being developed by Minh Le, the co-creator of Counter-Strike.

Additionally, Pearl Abyss will be having a closed beta test for a new fantasy arena fighter game, Shadow Arena. It is being described as “the ultimate survival game” and features fast-paced, action-packed combat. It will be available for hands-on at G-Star so expect to see some footage.

Right now, that’s all we know about the games but more will be coming on November 13th when the Pearl Abyss presentation takes place. It will be on at 8 PM PST if you want to tune in to see the presentation live.
